I do have a handful of clientele I do haircuts on but currently that is all. I work alongside two master haircutting specialists so in most cases, I will be referring new clients wanting a haircut to them.
I recommend clients to come with hair that has been washed the day prior to the appointment for optimal results.
In fact, in my 14 year career it is a rare occurrence when a client has be sensitive or even allergic to the hair color I used on them. In some cases washing your hair the day of a hair color service, will stimulate your scalp and remove all natural oil that is a good barrier of protection. For this reason, come to your appointment with clean/dry hair but don't wash it the day of. If you are concerned about a potential allergy and/or sensitivity, it is always a good idea to take preventive measures and perform a skin allergy test prior to your appointment.
Goldwell & Redken shades EQ for color, Olaplex for added protection in all lightening services and I retail Davines Hair & Body.
You invest so much time and money into your hair color and by using low quality drugstore products that claim to do all the same things as professional products to maintain your hair color would be a disservice. This does not mean you have to buy high end/expensive haircare, I can recommend several different options for all budgets.
Buying professional haircare products from Amazon or a drugstore does not guarantee you will be receiving authentic product. Purchasing product from a professional hairstylist and/or salon will guarantee that you get authentic product, and you would be supporting a small business for the same price.
All clients and stylists will be wearing a mask, “No mask no service” until further notice. (We also ask if you or anyone in your household are experiencing symptoms to please reschedule your appointment).
In fact, the trends have really moved more into “lived-in” & “low maintenance” hair color, and are so flattering on all clients. The initial appointment tends to be a bit longer in order to create seamless blends of color and blur out foil lines, which allows for you to come back for touch-ups less often. Typically a traditional highlight will have you back in the salon every 6-8 weeks. With a lived-in hair color you will need a touch-up in about 12 or more weeks (unless you have grey). At your 12 week maintenance appointment it could be that we do something as simple as a color melt to refresh your color which is super quick and easy.
Such as: your desired hair goal & your hair’s starting point, the sessions required to achieve your goal and the skill level of your hairstylist. All clients will receive a complimentary consultation when booking with me, so that is always a good time to discuss potential costs so that you know what costs to expect in order to get you to your desired goal.
More times than not it is the initial appointment(s) that are the most time consuming and from there it is maintenance appointments. Hair trends are continually moving toward lower maintenance hair coloring techniques and I can help you choose one that fits your busy life and budget.
